BMW's bestseller is already a rolling legend. The best-selling motorcycle in Germany and the mother of all travel dinos has 2012 applied new make-up. The special model Rally carries BMW Motorsport colors. At splashiness and sound, yes to soul, put the boxer already in 2010 significantly. At that time there were dohc heads and an exhaust flap for robust sound. BMW still builds a particularly beefy drive that does not have to fear an opponent up to 5000 rpm.
Before the degree of maturity, which has achieved the seal of approval meanwhile GS, one must pull the hat.

The experience GS clearly has an inimitable feeling of security. Behind the 84-centimeter handlebar you feel unassailable, as the irrefutable master of the action.

This also applies when parking and maneuvering the "only" 244 kilograms, including accessories. The BMW turns on the palm, runs well even at top speed straight ahead. This bike has what used to be Honda: all components fit together perfectly, creating a true system.

32 years of GS experience pay off. The brakes anchor, as if you had pushed a branch between the wire spokes. But even with the hardest braking the Telelever performs great, prevents the front on the descent. The fork standpipes, which have been freed of any spring and damping work, glide supersensibly up and down with each opening and closing of the throttle grip. Precise, but a bit hard controls the traction control.

Plenty of reserves are provided by the optional terrain ESA chassis. That is the very best suspension comfort. At the touch of a button, the chassis is quickly and practically adapted to terrain and payload. Many well thought-out details and strengths in all touring and everyday criteria make the GS ultimately what it is: a motorcycle for (almost) everything, one machine for all.
